Do you feel like you need to have a drink after a long day at work? Or feel like you need to drink when you’re out with friends? I can tell you I definitely felt this way before. However, I’ve learned that it is a narrative that has been fed to us through tons of subliminal messages. Almost every TV show, advertisement, and movie shows us how much fun you have with alcohol. If you understand the subconscious mind, then our attraction and beliefs about alcohol make total sense. If you consider that alcohol is a poison and depressant it does not make sense why it’s being promoted.
Did you know that alcohol kills 3 million people worldwide every year? Alcohol has also been proven to impair the body’s ability to fight off viral infections. Why is it then that all liquor stores are considered essential businesses, in a pandemic? The rates of alcoholism have only increased during the shutdowns, meaning more people have weakened immune systems. If you are concerned about COVID-19 or any virus/disease, then you should consider what you are ingesting.
With all the alcohol, coffee, toxic food, personal care products, and a lack of sunshine, our bodies are not able to focus on our immune system. Instead, our bodies are focusing on ridding themselves of toxins and/or creating fat to store the toxins. The most important thing you can do to protect yourself from diseases and viruses is to take actions that support your immune system.
